Embrace dialogue by helping with a donation!

Since 2012, Embrace Dialogue (ReD) has been operating thanks to our volunteers who are committed to peace in Colombia through the culture of dialogue. Your contribution will help us maintain and spread our operations on the ground to different corners of the country.

What do we do?

1) Peace Pedagogy: we go to schools in marginal neighbourhoods of Bogotá, Cali and Pasto, to give workshops on the peace agreement, truth as a public good, and reconciliation, in order to generate a better understanding of the causes of the armed conflict and nurture young people as conscious citizens, committed to the non-repetition of war in our country.

2) Project "A Ser Historia": young people from different schools and universities, social strata and disciplines come together to hold dialogues with a diverse range of actors of the armed conflict (including victims, ex-combatants and peacebuilders) with the purpose, not only of understanding the history of the Colombian armed conflict but to build new empathic narratives for non-repetition.

3) Building a Culture of Dialogue: we create spaces which allow and promote the culture of dialogue around challenging and often divisive topics. One of our longest-running events is our series of peace breakfasts in Colombia, where we bring together voices of those that have been affected by the armed conflict in different ways.

4) Peacebuilding in the business sector: we open spaces for dialogue within companies in order to nurture active and conscious citizens that engage with the reality of what is happening in the country.
