Cocinar es un acto de amor, pero para miles de mujeres en las comunidades que rodean la Reserva de la Biosfera Mariposa Monarca, ese acto puede costarles la vida.

El humo del fogón abierto llena sus casas, cubre sus ollas de hollín y deja cicatrices en sus pulmones.

A través del Proyecto Tsasú, transformamos esa realidad con las estufas Patsari, que mantienen la tradición de cocinar con leña, pero sin el humo que enferma y pone en riesgo sus vidas.

Este #UnDíaParaDar, queremos construir 1,400 estufas Patsari, una por cada mujer que podrá volver a alimentarse dignamente y respirar aire limpio.

Cooking is an act of love, but for thousands of women in the communities surrounding the Monarch Butterfly Biosphere Reserve, that act can cost them their lives.

The smoke from open-fire stoves fills their homes, coats their pots with soot, and leaves scars on their lungs.

Through the Tsasú Project, we transform this reality with Patsari stoves, which preserve the tradition of cooking with wood, but without the smoke that makes families sick and puts their lives at risk.

This #GivingTuesday, we aim to build 1,400 Patsari stoves, one for each woman who will once again be able to cook with dignity and breathe clean air.
